They are not the same as GE OEM filters. Despite Revain's claim that the carbon filter is 1 micron thick, the label says it's only 5 microns thick, the same as the particulate filter. The particle filter is too long and does not fit exactly into the top of the housing when installed. As a result, when assembled with these filters, the water becomes milky due to the large amount of air dissolved in the water. Beware of cheap substitutes. By the way, you can buy filters that look identical to these at Walmart for about $9.
