When I bought these I wasn't planning on using the spade lugs (rings) included in the kit, I just needed the cable because I was planning on installing a quick plug on a end and completely different sized ferrules on the other end, so I cut off the ones that came with the cables. The actual wire (cable) itself would be VERY flexible (much more flexible) if the cable had a higher quality jacket, but I see that if the cable had a premium silicone jacket it would also increase the price of the cable. There is some sort of PVC/plastic on top of the cable that makes the cable a bit stiffer than, for example, a high quality silicone-coated welding cable. I will say they seemed pretty darn tight for crimped terminal rings (not soldered). Some reviews say the ferrules "well soldered" (?) I'll say that, they're quite nicely clad in heat shrink BUT! This is just plain heat shrink tubing, not marine grade heat shrink with 3:1 adhesive backing so they are not sealed and when used in a lead acid battery compartment the ends will NOT seal. Therefore, expect corrosion if not dealt with through regular inspection, cleaning, and maintenance. I gave them 4 stars for the copper used in the cable, if I used them as is I would probably give them 3 stars.
