
Firstly, this is a simple repair job. 2 screws and the magnetic block is removed. Remember there are two locating pins that hold the solenoid in place. Managed to lose both. However, they are only for alignment, which is what the bolts do once they are in place. After replacing these seals I still had a very small leak. After about 10 minutes of engine operation, the leak stopped and has not occurred for more than a month. I'm wondering if the seal only needed to be heated for a few minutes to fully close? In any case, this solved the problem and was a lot cheaper than replacing the entire solenoid, which is Honda's only solution.
