I use it as game drive on my Asus Rampage IV Extreme x79 motherboard. I noticed a noticeable difference when loading games. It seems to be getting quite hot on my system, although that may be my fault as I installed it in a PCI 3 slot, between two 2080 Tis in SLI. I have a Noctua 140mm industrial fan connected directly to the PCI expansion, but this add-on card cools much slower than my graphics cards. It's normal for it to reach temperatures of 75°C when gaming or benchmarking. Graphics cards cool down relatively quickly, while this add-on card returns to 68°C stasis in about 10 minutes. This puts it outside the recommended operating temperature, which strikes me as odd with so much airflow. My graphics cards report temperatures below 50° for 1.5 minutes with a maximum temperature of 75°. I still have a return period so I'm not sure what to think of checking the inside of this drive to make sure the case is in contact with the thermal transfer pads. It's as fast as they advertise.
