This is a two-piece brooch connected by short chains. Each wing is a little over an inch wide; The wings are connected by 2 chain links, the shorter of which is 3 inches long. The wings are made of yellowish metal and set with tiny transparent gems. There is a fastening clasp on the back of each wing. The item is zipped back into the box. The product was made in China. I find it a fun accessory to wear with a denim jacket or denim hat. The wings are beautifully symmetrical and have a slight sheen, although the part is more tawny than golden. The clasps hold tight. A few gems aren't placed perfectly, but it looks like they'll last a while. All in all, it's a fun piece of jewelry, but I don't see the point in wearing it to formal occasions.
