My hair is very thick and naturally wavy. I like curling them with a hot iron, but I want my hair to be healthy and not damaged. These no heat curling irons are soft and different from other methods I've tried. Even though I have shoulder length hair, I had a hard time winding it up on rods because it's so thick and not very long. Sleeping on fishing rods was not very comfortable. Since they are on the side of the head, it is actually only comfortable to lie on your back. Twisting to either side will pull your hair. Although the bars are soft, they can put pressure on the head and cause discomfort. In the morning the result convinced me, the curls looked very good. They were soft and stretchy and held up. I hope growing my hair helps and am also considering using the wands in a different configuration above.
