I've only used it twice but it seems to work fine. I like that it is digital and programmable (time, temperature). I also like the transparent lid so I can see how everything looks at a glance (at least on the top tray). Haven't made anything that requires a thin mesh liner or fruit roll tray. The recipe book contains many recipes for pickled foods and some easy fruit/vegetable recipes. However, I have found several free dehydration recipe books on Kindle (I'm a monthly subscriber) with a wider variety of recipes. You could probably search the web or YouTube and find some of these. I will update my review if anything notable happens.
