Review on Copper and Brass Old Dutch Teakettle, 2.5 Quart by Brandon Fernandez

Holds a lot of water, the quality is satisfied!

I LOVE this little kettle! This is perfect for my needs. It holds quite a bit of water, which is important to me as I use it every morning to brew a full carafe of coffee and make an all-day iced tea. I fill it as high as I can and it pours out of the spout while boiling when filled to the top, but it pours very cleanly and I reserve for ice tea. I first bought another one which not only split the spout but was horribly dirty, poured down the burner and poured over the top as well. This one is wonderful and doesn't overflow. The lid fits snugly and snugly which I like because the other one I bought fell off the last pour and usually ended up right in my hot coffee grounds, tea or whatever I was making. terrible mess and danger. This one starts betting! The only downside is that the handle gets hot. I thought it was because I cook so much, but even when I boil a small amount of water, the handle is still hot. Now I use a hot stand but I ordered a wooden handle instead. It looks like it would be easy to unscrew and put a wooden one on top. One final note: it was very well packed in double boxes, crumpled paper and bubble wrap, but somehow it arrived with a broken spout and a dent in that area. I am sending this back but replacing it with a similar one. I really like it! Also, the nickel plating feels VERY thick on the inside and I'm more confident it will stick. The other one I ordered seemed so thin I couldn't believe it.
