. I know it should be used for babies or pets. There are many stages of this terrible disease and my father is in the final stages. If you don't know much about it, at least with my dad, he ALWAYS wants "somewhere" and is always in a constant state of confusion. Luckily he can still walk, but there are places in the house that we have to "protect from dad". Because he's constantly wandering around like a child. Someone advised to buy a children's gate. In particular it was VERY easy to set up, the fact that the lock is very complicated my dad can't figure out how to open it and the gate keeps it away from the kitchen leading to the stairs which is very dangerous for people with Alzheimer's who can get lost and fall. The gate is very strong and it's easy for us to use it and get in and out of the kitchen. We love this product because it's one less thing to worry about when my dad's eye can't see! Highly recommended for seniors who don't want to go to dangerous places in the house!
