Review on 🔧 Melling M176 Oil Pump: High Performance for 4.6L V8 Engine - Top Quality Guaranteed by John Benjamin

I'm a mechanic. I ordered this to solve a shifter noise issue specific to this car. After seeing Melling's online video about chain noise in Ford engines, I decided to give it a try. Arrived on time as described. Installed and primed by pouring oil into the inlet and turning the pump by hand. Then fitted to the engine and tightened to specification. They removed and disassembled both timing chain tensioners, then cleaned of dirt and slime, then reassembled and reinstalled in the car. (This was an important step in solving the chain rattle problem as the oil holes in these components are very small and easily clogged.) There is absolutely no chain noise when starting the engine. The oil pressure gauge on the dashboard is at mid-level. Good product. I would highly recommend this Melling oil pump or any other Melling pump and will definitely buy again!
