Cute item, nice design, only problem was the sharp edges. Yes, it came broken, packed in a padded box to allow the mail to be scattered and broken. This is based on whether the part was whole. I think that would be good for small fish like the neon tetra and not the betta fish. Some holes had obstacles with very sharp bits that I could cut myself on, and not just in one spot. I know every product is different but without quality control you will have problems. A hard piece may be able to be gently worked with a strong metal file. Decent price, shipping to the States takes forever. I'm only worried about fast moving fish and those with smooth fins. But the seller supported the goods and returned the money without any problems. It would be a good chunk for a shrimp tank.
