Review on Compact and Convenient: Vantec 4-Port USB 3.0 Bus-Powered Travel Hub (UGT-MH400U3),Black by Don Taniguchi

Update November 1, 2014: The port connected to one of my primary USB 3.0 external hard drives keeps dropping the hard drive for no reason. I suspect a wiring problem. What does the seller say? I have no idea. After hours of searching for my next powered USB hub, I decided on this model for the following reasons: 1) Aluminum body: not bulky but heavy enough to stay on my desk. 2) USB 3.0 ports 3) Activity lights for each port I used two USB 2.0 hubs, both powered, but one of them had problems and I couldn't use one of my printers, and some of the attached external hard drives started working disappear and separate. Now I've plugged this baby into one of my desktop PC's USB 3.0 ports and voila. Problem solved. Overall good product. But I would have liked a different color.
