We had a water leak at the T-point in our industrial building from the old PB plastic pipe. Since these piping are obsolete and I don't have any crimping tools anyway, I looked into Sharkbite fittings as they claim you don't need any tools, just measure the depth and put on. I was a bit skeptical at first but I was in a bind so I bought two PB Pex fittings, Pex T and Pex Shut off. I watched a YouTube video before attempting the repair just to see what i have to do Cutting out the old T pipe, installing two PB fittings on the Pex with a section in between that held the new Pex T, and then the new plug from the T took 15 minutes. Plugged in, no leak, works great. These things are the real deal and will save you tons of time and hassle! I can steam copper pipe as well, but for future repairs I can just use these fittings, no point wasting time when I can measure, cut, slide to install and you're done.
