This is great. I wear women's size 9 and ordered L/XL. They're just a little loose, but I think the S would probably be too tight (just a guess). I wear Gyro SPD mountain bike shoes on my daily commute and they are easy to slip on and off (even with the shoes on my feet). There is a nice wide cut-out at the bottom so the fabric doesn't get in the way when you open it. Inside. I can buckle and unbuckle myself and walk without blankets. I drive 5.5 miles to work in 35 degree Denver morning air and they do a great job of blocking the wind. I have to say that my fingers were a little cold at the end of the trip, but not as cold as without the blanket. I was between them and the Peal Izumi covers and I'm glad I chose them because they appear thicker and have a much wider neckline, plus they're cheaper!
