I especially like these satin hair rollers because they don't damage my hair and it's nice to sleep on. Yes, they're cheap and I have to buy them back about once a year, but they're only $6 so it's not a big deal. They are stiff when you first get them, but they will soften over time. Since they are satin, they will fall off. The best way to use them is to twist your hair and then put on a hair cap to keep it from falling off. I've been using them for several years and am about to buy another pack.
