From a bald guy. for hair clipping tools

Full disclosure I am not using this trimmer for its intended purpose. As a bald man, this beauty allows me to keep a nice scalp almost as close as a shave and still avoid the hair salon. I tried 3 different trimmers: Classic 76 with 0A 1.2mm blade, Andis T-Outliner and this model. Short answer: This is the best option for my purpose, long answer follows next. The Classic 76 cuts hair to the best of what a professional barber would use. If you want to fade or leave a hair length for a flat top, this is your device. It cuts without tension, is precise and has easily replaceable blades. They cost around $100 and last for years. But for a bald man trying to keep a clean look, the lowest 0A 1.2mm blade isn't close enough to achieve the nearly shaved look I prefer. The Andis unit trims a little tighter than the choice but is significantly heavier and slightly bulkier. It's good for cleaning around the ears, etc. The Wahl device is lightweight, making it easy to use and carry. A few tips to achieve good results will help to cut hair dry and often. If I wait more than 3 days before cutting my hair I pull hard, but being short allows me to maintain a very tight cut without the inconvenience of shaving with a blade.
