That's what I bought it for and it works. Restarting CC from settings seems to break the connection. Resolved by a hard reset or disconnection from the power source. I read that this applies to other adapters as well. I would upgrade the power supply with this or any other ethernet adapter. Some people have received low power notifications. I've never had this before, but I've been pulling my hair out with audio/video sync issues with my CC, which I've been using with an Ethernet adapter. I ditched the standard power adapter and plugged in the extra Pixel charger I had and all is good. The 18W Pixel Charger is a power bank. The standard power supply that comes with the CC is 7.5W and is not a power supply.
