Ideal for DC59 but original DC59 animal motor heads will not fit. I had to buy a new extension tube to use this clear animal head container. Not the most elegant solution, but it solved the problem of corroded connections in my original Dyson hopper assembly, and it was a lot cheaper than vacuuming new or sending my vacuum back to Dyson for repairs.
