To be honest, I don't know how this product got the bad reviews. Yes, the back is a bit difficult to remove. I took a pair of sharp scissors, opened them up and carefully placed them against the corner and I was able to separate the spine easily. I also bought an application kit. I was able to remove all the bubbles and simplify the whole process. I work the night shift and my room is so dark right now. Love it! The only thing that could be improved here would be to add measuring and cutting lines to the backsheet. I would highly recommend this to all my colleagues who work the night shift and anyone who wants total darkness! I also have blackout curtains, but they still let light in, especially from above. Curtains and together, as I said, total darkness!
