I would like to split this review into 2 parts. One for the product and one for customer service. Product: This camera is of excellent quality. I've posted some camera quality photos here and installed the camera at my front gate overlooking the dirt road. There are mountains in the distance, the quality of which was poor with another camera I tested. Now that the camera is mounted at about 15 feet, it doesn't read license plates very well, but that's to be expected. Don't let that put you off buying one of these as it has some really useful features. Means of transport. I live in Arizona so this is to be expected, but this is a private road and people should not drive ATVs. Well I installed this camera as well as the security camera sign (see dropped! The installation alone made a HUGE difference! I find the really bright LEDs that light up when an object drives by is the main reason ATVs slow down At night, you can clearly see which quads are being watched!Having very bright LED lights is just a HUGE plus, I can't figure out how much it helped because it's so much more noticeable than just the flashing light This camera has LED light and the flashing light can be turned on or off at any time via the app, which means you don't want the light to turn on because you might prefer to hide your camera, you can turn off these features entirely and tag versus the solium camera I would say the other camera didn't have what was important to me was the ability to capture video from the Download the app straight to the phone WITHOUT paying a damn for the cloud service. It is very convenient to download these video files to your computer either for better reporting or to email them to law enforcement or friends/family. The app is very clean and works great. I didn't experience any lags or glitches with the CTRONICS app like other camera apps. However, one of the downsides is the fact that there is NO ONVIF or web portal support. This is useful for me as I can use TinyCam Pro on my phone to see this camera in one place along with my other cameras. On the other hand, I see all my ctronic cameras in one app. I have a battery powered Ctronics handheld camera which unfortunately has its own app called Cloud Edge which I don't like. Thankfully, this camera uses the same CTRONICS app as most of their cameras. As much as I would like ONVIF support, I understand why it's not available. Because this camera will go to sleep mode when there is no motion, remote connection will not work. Otherwise the camera would be on 24/7. Night Vision: I haven't been able to do a lot of night vision testing because I prefer the LEDs to turn on when I'm moving. Thanks to the LED lights, I can see in color at night. When connected to the camera, the LEDs light up. However, a little night vision play seems to work very well at 15ft. I have no complaints. Microphone and Speakers: This is another big plus! The mic quality is as good as any other camera I've used in the past, but what really blows my mind is the speaker on this thing. Using the CTRONICS app, I spoke through the app to use the speaker on the camera and WOW! This camera's speaker is MUCH louder than any of my cameras, INCLUDING other CTRONICS cameras I own. It's amazing because the camera is 15 feet high and everyone can clearly hear me speaking through the camera! Big plus for me! Battery life: I've had this camera for about 2 weeks now and I can't say how long the battery lasts, but I can tell you that I have a lot of traffic in front of my gate. From cars to ATVs, this camera is constantly waking up and recording. Even at night, the battery almost does not discharge, and the next day the solar panel fully charges the battery. Surprisingly the battery lasts much longer than the old solium solar camera I had on a pole before which had 6 batteries. People. and girls, this camera is worth the money! Setup with the CTRONICS app was so easy and I have nothing bad to say about this camera. Buy, buy and buy more! You're worth it! I currently have 4 CTRONICS cameras and they have all been great. Customer Service: CTRONICS was great! Ever since the very first camera I bought, I've bought more and more of them. Eventually I got a scratch card in the second box and won a free SD card. Thought I'd email CTRONICS and see if they actually sent me one for free. Well I never received the SD card BUT instead they sent me a battery powered camera which I am currently setting up. They were so helpful with every question I had that they became my camera of choice. Not only are the products well made, but the customer service is fantastic! Let me tell you, if you have any issues with a product you purchased from CTRONICS, I GUARANTEE they will ship you a replacement or help you set up EVERY TIME. I'm telling you, the customer service is amazing. Thanks Mike Edit: 6/5/2021 This camera still works fine at the gate. Even in the harsh Arizona heat, it still holds up amazingly well.
