Dangerous, tangles around dog paws

I was looking for a lighter weight harness so my older girl could use it while sitting in the garden with her. I had high expectations for this tie especially as it is made by Coastal Pet Products. However, I have found it constantly getting tangled and shrinking around my dog's hind legs as he moves about the garden. Even if I don't leave my dog alone outside, I have the feeling that this tethering can lead to injuries. The snap hooks on this tie are also very light and do not look like they are made of solid metal. I have always trusted Coastal Pet Products but cannot recommend this nylon tie.
