Review on 💧 Camco 22813 Premium Drinking Water: Clean, Safe, & Refreshing Hydration by Keith Alvord

Several (UPDATES). Bought both, HD Valterra 5/8" hose wins first impressions. Product significantly better, more versatile, with full bore fittings, matches hose ID which worries me. Be careful pulling! I already have my male end on Bit of a mess, oops-). HD Camco hose fittings are not full hose diameter. Both have restrictive 1/2" bore fittings, but are machined with strong and sharp-cut threads. Hoses from many manufacturers use restrictive fittings and they are undesirable when long hoses with multiple connections are required At lower inlet fresh water pressure, HD Camco and Valterra grommets connect well, but machined sharp threads and loose flakes of chrome plating inside the Camco Hoses are undesirable in my opinion. Additionally, in my opinion, sharp threads machined in other softer materials have a tendency to cross threads, e.g. B. in plastic and other molded parts. HD Camco hose material is not 20% better than advertised and packaged. This Camco HD hose feels thin and the reinforcement looks almost as embossed as the visible weave of threads in the thicker material of the Valterra HD hose. Both hoses are very stiff when cold. It felt like the Camco hose would snap with force. (UPDATE: VT HD hoses tend to twist and kink pretty easily in hot summer weather. Twisting Valterra HD hose for hot weather storage gets pretty weird. A tougher HD Camco hose might work better in the Summer heat.) In my opinion the extra $5-6 for a Valterra 25ft-5/8" hose is worth it, many Val products are handy but need to be checked every few days during use.
