Installation was more difficult than it should be. Hired an electrician and contractor to install new bricks on the wall and install this recessed unit. The contractor hired an electrician to install a conventional outlet in a dented area. However, the TV plug was too big to fit in the remaining 3/4 inch space. I contacted Monoprice and they said they couldn't design the jack layout for all the different plug sizes in the world and suggested a flat extension cord but given the extension cords the shortest cord is too long to fit the space the electrician initially suggested when solution to hooking up a tv, after a few days he finally figured out how to install a recessed outlet which he initially thought would not provide enough space. but this solved the problem perfectly but took more time and money than it should have. There is no mention of this in the instructions, on their website or when I called customer service, hence the 3 star rating. Directions should state that TVs with plugs larger than X dimensions require a recessed outlet, or at least mention that it's recommended to leave room for different sized plugs. works as expected, extends and tilts as described and is solid. I would recommend if you need to install an outlet that you plug into a recessed one.
