A good thing! for car care

I bought this on advice that it would work on gas fireplace glass. If you've never had the pleasure and delight of cleaning up that caked white residue from years of fireplace use, let me tell you that it's a chore. From what I've heard it's some form of silicon deposits. Last time I cleaned them I used 3M Wiper and Orbital Buffer. Even then, each panel lasted about 30 minutes (only two panels). The runabout stuff cut through 95% of the assemblage in about five minutes of light scrubbing, all by hand, and I'm pretty sure I broke the orbital buffer. it would be even faster. The glass looks fantastic. My next places to use it is a fairly large stainless steel vent and a painted portion of the chimney. If it works well I'll try it on some of our stainless steel appliances. I recommend two polishing cloths and an application cloth (which should be damp, almost damp). Apply a coin-sized Flitz spoon to about 1 square. Apply feet with a cloth, wait a few seconds, then quickly wipe with a soft cotton cloth, absorbing most of the residue. The second polishing cloth should be a microfiber cloth for best results and will remove the smudged residue from the first polishing cloth very quickly and easily. Every homeowner should have a can of this stuff in their garage. Five stars.

Pros
  • Maximum safety: non-toxic, non-abrasive, non-flammable. Flits are also safe to use on food prep surfaces. Safe enough for use in the kitchen or bathroom, durable enough for use in the garage.
