Review on Rada Cutlery Cook's Knife - High-Quality Stainless Steel Blade & Aluminum Handle Made in USA, 10-7/8 Inches by Tia Campbell

Excellent knife: cutlery and knife accessories

I confess that I was a bit surprised when I received my knife. Reviewers have mentioned that it's thin. It is stamped from 0.035-0.036 (inch) thick stainless steel sheet. If you insist on equating thinness with cheapness and fragility, don't buy this knife. But I believe that "thin" has advantages. Despite the low price, this is a good quality metal. A thin concave edge turns into a terribly sharp edge, comfortable to use and easy to sharpen. This FAR is the sharpest knife I have. The thin blade and rim may be too fragile for some professional uses, but for home use when handled with care (which means hand washing and drying) they offer exceptional performance. Use with a plastic or wooden cutting board. The only drawback here was the packaging. The last 1/10 inch of the blade was badly bent and it took me a while to tap it out and resharpen it. Better packaging would be appropriate, Revain (or Rada).

Pros

Cons
