I ordered this unit and found that the stand was broken. The fault is that the locking knob 3 does not lock the mounting plate to hold the laser in any position without tipping over when the laser is pointing to the ground. I went back to the 360 laser and stood and got a replacement. The base of the newly received device was also defective. I suspect this defect is a design flaw present in any stand that comes with the laser level. I'll try to fix this by putting more washers on the locking knob screw 3 to see if this holds the mounting plate in the position I chose. Look at the diagram that comes with the device to see the names of the parts. I use.
