Charges normally but does not connect Vivosmart3

It charges my Vivosmart3 but does NOT connect the device to the PC or let it update/download etc. Luckily I found a lost original part after ordering. It's good to have a spare charger, but don't rely on it if you need to transfer/update info etc.
