Ultra short staple length. Not as long as the description says.
This cotton fiber is amazingly soft. The colors are bright and beautiful, but the length of the staples is not 2-2.5 inches as stated in the description. The staple length of the fiber I received was 1-1.5 inches and is very difficult for a beginner cotton spinner to spin. Be sure to look for a different fiber if you are new to cotton spinning. I found carding this ribbon and making my own puni worked great, but figured I'd pay a higher price to have the fiber ready to be spun for a beginner. It wasn't like that.
