I bought this in November (it's April now) so I've been using it daily for almost 6 months and I hand wash it every day and use it in the microwave every day and I've had no problems with the coating constellation (or stickers as some call it). EXCEPT if the mug says "DO NOT MACHINE WASH" in big, bold letters at the bottom, do not put it in the dishwasher, even if you're absentmindedly loading dishes. I didn't realize what I had done until I took it out of the dishwasher and it was covered in these weird white spots. I don't think it was soap or water stains as none of my other black mugs had stains, but whatever it was, my mug looked ruined. I tried gently washing them, washing, rinsing, wiping, but the white spots wouldn't go away. Despite this, I used it every day and the good news is that the stains have gradually disappeared. There was still a weak point, but the cup has been corrected. So if you hate washing dishes like I do and find yourself absentmindedly tossing your mug in the washing machine, don't despair. Keep using it and it should fix itself within a few months. I am attaching a photo of the mug right after the dishwasher.
