Review on πŸ”₯ Premium 50w Reptile Heat Lamp Bulb 2 Pack - Pet Infrared Ceramic Heat Emitter for Brooder Coop, Lizard, Lambs, Snake - No Light, Black by Brittney Merrill

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The only reptiles in my house are in the freezer!

I was looking for a replacement for the low wattage bulbs I use in my meat dryers. I make beef jerky and South African style beef jerky (Biltong and Droewors) and the ideal temperature is around 90F. Dryers have an exhaust fan and holes around the base to alter airflow and temperature. The problem with incandescent bulbs is that they eventually don't generate heat as efficiently, which is why they are called "incandescent bulbs" and will soon be banned in favor of LEDs and some CFCs. And they light up the house all night when the dryers are on. I was visiting my local pet store looking for an aquarium heater and came across these black heat lamps. They looked perfect for the job but sold for $33 each. Goodbye Pet's **** and hello Revane. I bought two of these for about $14. You were the perfect solution. No stray light, they are durable and have a lower profile than incandescent bulbs, less likely to touch dangling strips of sausage or meat. They found the perfect temperature and the first batch with the reptile heater was perfect. I can even thaw frozen alligator and make reptile jerky with my new reptile warmers.
