Review on Kormoran Snow 215/55 R18 99 winter by Janis Libeks ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not at all what I expected.Terrible!

I bought a set for my wife on a VW POLO. The price was competitive and I liked the pattern. The first winter it somehow held and slowed down, although it was immediately noisy and tough (they dropped the pressure to 1.8 to make it softer). After 2-3 mm of the tread was worn out on ice or icy and hard snow, it stopped holding at all, from the word "absolutely". POLO from a place could not call in at the dacha on a small dump of hard snow with crust, 5-6 cm high, it just stood and skidded. After the braking distance to a full stop was about 30 meters on heavily frozen asphalt (but without ice, at -20 * C) at a speed of 50-55 km / h, they simply removed all 4 tires and replaced them with Nokian. And the wife began to ride calmly, and not twitch and strain.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Noisy, harsh. On ice or hard packed snow - just none. In soft snow and on crust, even light, it immediately skids and then burrows.
