Two hours after the first and only start while mowing the switch suddenly cut the electrics and the mower stopped. After replacing the derailleur with a locally purchased derailleur and charging the battery, I started the engine and have mowed almost every day since. The battery connection on the failed switch was slightly distorted, as if it had overheated due to an internal short to ground. Possibly a random error.
