Review on πŸ”§ Qibaok Ratcheting Wire Crimper Tool for Heat Shrink Connectors - Ratchet Terminal Crimper for Wire Crimping by Carlito Tardy

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Poor quality and wrong crimping

Based on the five star ratings this connector crimping tool must have been a good product. Did not work. Problems: *ο‚· Poor quality - the jaws of this crimping machine do not match. The upper and lower jaws are not perfectly aligned and will move towards each other when inserting the crimp dies. This only has one crimping tool that performs a crimp. The teeth of the dies are narrow and do not align with the opposing die, resulting in minimal flex range and poor bonding. Whether it's the result of poor design or kinks, the end result is a tool that's basically useless. It seems nobody at this company has actually looked at what comes off the production line and tested it to see how it works. The padding inside the case is just foam and will not stay in place if you try to remove the instrument. The cut outs for the various die sets are simply cut outs and do not need to be cut to a shape to fit the die sets. The replacement crimping tool I bought is an ARES machine: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S9FYKZC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1* Large surface area of crimp teeth* Dual crimp dies β€” two crimp zones per Cable connectors* Perfect tool alignment - front to back and side to side! Photos: * 2 and 4 - Qibaok - cams and dies are offset * 1 and 3 - ARES - cams and dies are perfectly aligned both front to back and side to side. The large surface area of the teeth in the dies that contact the wire connectors creates a strong cold weld!* 5-10 gauge wire connecting zipper with ring connector: red wire crimped with Qibaok single crimp. The black wire is first crimped with Qibaok and then re-crimped with double crimped ARES.
