I've been using air intakes since 2001. I've had them on everything from trucks to Mustangs. Received this kit today and was about to put it on and the airbox that surrounds the filter didn't have the hole that should have been for air entry. I looked at the photos and cropped my own based on the image I saw. I can only assume that the airbox I received was matched to a tube, but I'm not exactly sure. If you don't have the right tools, screwing on the airbox will be very difficult. The intake pipe was good. Better than other kits I've seen and that's one of the reasons I prefer Airid over standard K&N. This is a standard K&N filter that always holds up well. I'll see how it holds up over time now that it's in place. However, I don't know why it wasn't designed to reuse the factory screw location for the airbox, since removing the filter to clean it essentially means removing anything that might lead me to consider a different intake configuration.
