I ordered this item and it worked right away. At first I had crashes, but I found that this was due to different resolutions of the incoming signals. If the incoming signals have the same resolution, then it worked. You mentioned audio switches on each channel selection, that's true, but in PIP mode the audio stays with the main frame (channel 1). Once you have the main audio mix on the correct channel, everything should be fine. sang on Channel 1 and her lyrics were placed on a smaller screen. See link below. Great product for the price.
