Review on 🌲 Pinepro Block Pine Derby Kits by Erik Haynes

I ordered these cars for my son's 5th birthday. His older brother is in the Scouts and they both loved the Pinewood Derby. Our scout leader said we could borrow the track so I planned a great party for my son in the pine forest. We ordered this set of cars in bulk to save some money. Getting cars from scouts is expensive when you're buying for 10 kids! The blocks are fine, the wheels too. The problem was with the nails used to attach the wheels. The nails were too oily. The wheels could not turn on nails. Also some cars (block of wood after we shaped it) broke when nails were driven in. We've built a lot of pine derby cars over the years (my husband and dad both worked for Scouts. I'm talking about a lot of cars!) and we've never had this problem. It was such a disappointment for the kids at the party. If you order this, make sure the nails make the wheels turn. I think it would be cheaper just to buy new nails for this big set than to buy individual cars.
