This is a good solid perch with a good rough finish and shape that promotes good paw health for your bird. I have a large size which I would recommend if you are buying for a cockatiel or kennel. Even parrots can comfortably use the large size. I wouldn't buy this if you want to get a pole for something other than a kennel. My cockatiel seems to like this perch and enjoys climbing and nibbling on it. The only problem is that one of the bolts on my bar tends to loosen if I overtighten the wing nut on it. This does not affect the strength of the perch and it still holds perfectly to the cage. I would definitely recommend this if you have small birds and are looking for a nice and sturdy natural wood perch for your feathered friends.
