I used this as a button to change the light modes on the multi-pattern strobe bar. With this setting, you touch the template wire to the ground wire. I connected the ground wire to one end and the shift wire to the other. When you press the button, it closes the contacts between the two wires and changes the pattern. When you release the button, the connection is broken, allowing the one-second connection to change the template.
