UPDATE - we've decided to send it back. That does not work. We reinstalled the product twice and it still doesn't work properly. When we are in the room we can turn the handle to lock the door. However, when we are outside the room, the handle rotates but does not block the lock. We even used the key to lock the door and it turned out to be locked. However, if we turned the knob, the latch would unlock. POOH! So it defeats the purpose and we will return it. I am currently on 3 of this product but will be updating in a while. We read the instructions and it seemed easy - the deadbolt had to be either up or down depending on which door we had (left or right). We have a left handle door but after installation the latch/lock did not work. I had to completely disassemble again. Second, installing the code is NOT easy. You are unlikely to be able to pull out these small metal sleeves. Third, trying to drive the screws into the handle with a hex wrench was so difficult that he kept hitting the handle, scratching the handle. Finally, to lock the door, it's quite noisy and a bit catchy. Sooo we're not sure if this will work for us but we're giving about a week to see it. We will update once we have decided.
