I majored in computer science but went into systems management. Since then I haven't had to crimp the cable anymore. There were no wire twists or other issues as long as the wires were straightened and arranged properly. All crimps were done with no problems. The resulting connections were good. No reduction in internet speed or reliability. These cable connectors are just as durable as their more expensive counterparts. Depending on the unit price, you will receive additional connections. I'm still using the old-fashioned configuration of Broken Green, Solid Green, Broken Orange, Solid Blue, Broken Blue, Solid Orange, Broken Brown, and Solid Brown. Young people laugh at me for my old school telegram. Just make sure the order you use on one end of the cable is the same as the other end of the cable.
