I sew. I press. I've spent weeks testing irons and steam presses, gravity irons, etc. I came across the blog of Kenneth King, another sewer/iron specialist, who recommended the i600. So after returning the iron that gave me a 2nd degree burn, I ordered this one. It doesn't have all the features of the i600, but I didn't need them. Although the management left a lot to be desired (hence the one star). I love this iron. I am impressed. My old steam press lasted 15 years. If this one goes the distance I will come back and give it 5 stars. I thought it would take some getting used to not being able to mount the iron on the heel but as it comes with an extra silicone mat this isn't a problem. I mainly sew from natural fibers, cotton, linen and wool. I can shoot steam across the room. Cats are really taken with this iron and will not enter the room when it hisses.
