I am a professional watercolor artist and teacher. I've tried literally hundreds of brushes. When I try a new brush, I look for the following things: The ability to hold (suck up) water without releasing it until the brush touches the paper. The same test with its ability to hold color. How hard is the brush? Will it scratch the paper or stroke the paper like a good watercolor brush should. Is it a good work point to hit those smaller areas in my image? The cost of the brush, can my students and I afford it? These brushes scored highly in every category. I highly recommend these brushes for watercolors only.
