I had a real problem with humidity in a small greenhouse. I got this unit to replace another dehumidifier that didn't seem to have had any effect. This dropped my overnight relative humidity from 72 to my target of 45. So quiet that you really have to focus to hear if it's purring or not. This seems accurate as it matches my room humidistat to within 3% RH. The water tank is very easy to pull out, which automatically turns off the device until you put it back in. It only needs to be emptied every 4-5 days. Definitely recommend. I'll add a few suggestions and revise my advice after 6 months of use. In extreme cases, this can work in tiny rooms (2x4x5). But try to get it to remove the humidity once it hits 50% or 45% and it just buzzes and removes a tablespoon of water every 24 hours and doesn't change the relative humidity in the room. So get it if your area is 40 square meters. foot or less (which is very small) or get a bigger block.
