I chose this collar because it is a collar with a buckle. Collars with buckles are harder to find as many companies make "pull-away" collars. This collar is strong and looks great on my new pup. The clasp works well and holds well. I got it wet (during a rainstorm when I was taking it) and it didn't affect the collar. This collar is not made of nylon as it will stretch over time. It is made of leather or some other material that looks like leather. We are very satisfied with the material, quality and price. I would definitely buy this collar again or buy another if it gets bigger from this manufacturer.
