Review on Cordless screwdriver BLACK DECKER BD40K27 black by Micha Jelonek ᠌

What did I pay for? This product is a failure.

I bought the Bosch of the first generation as soon as it appeared, I was then very pleased with both powerful torque and convenient charging, I didn’t notice any shortcomings. I didn’t use Bosch often (once every 2 weeks in summer, once every 2 months in winter), but this year the battery began to die, the capacity dropped completely (I kept the screwdriver charged, everything was as it should be, apparently Bosch’s battery is bad) and by a lucky chance it turned out second generation, began to look closely. I saw that the black decker began to make such screwdrivers, at first I thought that this was the same as the first generation of Bosch Go and wanted to buy a new Bosch. But Bosch of the second generation costs more than 3 thousand and without a set of bits, in a huge empty box O_0. Black decker is a thousand cheaper, but I got it for 1800 in one very large clothing store, and now for another 100. fell in price. I immediately took it without hesitation, these two can be taken instead of one new Bosch. Previously, from a black decker, I only had a car vacuum cleaner, a very handy thing and really . But Bosch still tried to buy equipment, now I will reconsider my position. The black decker also deserves respect for the instructions - there is even a table with the cross section of electric cables - what kind of cable is needed for what current strength, another length was entered there, well done; a table with the modes and torque for each, a table with the diameter of the screws and the recommended mode, a table with the diameters of the recommended pilot holes for large diameter screws. It reminded me of the instructions from the BMW 7th series of the early 80s, half of the instructions were about how to drive correctly (that you don’t have to start abruptly from a traffic light, because then you will need to slow down harder before the next one and the average speed will not get higher, and the graphs were drawn both correctly and incorrectly), and for the BMW 7 series of the early 2022s 2/3 instructions for using the built-in phone)) Useful new knowledge is more expensive than gold, black decker gives them in the instructions now, you need to buy it and read more .

Pros
  • Good torque, the mechanical brake works great - it’s convenient to tighten the screws by hand (the first generation Bosch squinted a lot and sometimes turned around with a crunch, in general it never immediately stopped right away, but this thing immediately stops). A convenient torque switch on with 5 lights, when you turn it, this on is not accidentally pressed - it does not work, it only works when the screwdriver is in the off position, you can press it with gloves and your nose and everything you get, but in Bosch 1 there was a red one spinning from above , always touched it and the torque changed on its own, and in the second version of Bosch, there is a disgusting twist in the front, like in old screwdrivers, it is tight and cracks, you can’t turn it with dirty hands. The kit included a screwdriver for small bits, I always lose such small screwdrivers, but here they lie comfortably and do not interfere. The bits themselves are of normal quality, unlike again from the Bosch of the first generation, there the bits are almost plasticine, constantly grinded, replaced them with bits from old old Chinese screwdrivers, even they are of better quality. Charging from micro usb, just plug it into the charger from the phone, you can recharge it in the car without any problems. The tightening function works correctly - when there is a small torque, the screw was almost enough to tighten it and you just press the screwdriver again to tighten it, the screwdriver turns 1 / 4-1 / 2 turns, carefully, but the Bosch of the first generation sharply I screwed it up for several turns and had to pull it back sharply so that it would not kill the thread or the part I was screwing into, there’s no need to pull it back, you can tighten it as much as you need without fear, and you don’t need an electronic brake. There is a backlight, it works every time it is rotated, but it has not come in handy for me yet. There is a thing on the side for exposing electrical cables, it looks good, you press it springy, it presses the wire to the knife, until you use it, but it will come in handy soon. The torque feels about the same as the Bosch.
Cons
  • It works louder than Bosch, here the sound is like in movies for robotic things, just a real whack whack)) I don’t know if it’s bad or not, maybe it’s a fee for a good mechanical brake. Bosch is just famous for the fact that their tools are quieter and with less vibration, there is no such thing here. Unlike the second generation Bosch, there is no electronic brake, i. E. after the screwdriver stops (if you twist and sharply pull it out of the screw), it still spins by inertia, even more than the first generation Bosch, but here it is not needed. It doesn’t show the charge level with the indicator, everything should flash when it’s already discharged (I haven’t planted it yet), at Bosch you could constantly see 3 charge lights, it’s more convenient. I use a nozzle for drills, a separate on with the inclusion of a Bosch second generation would be useful to me, there is none here. ate: Broke after 6 months :(
