Not quite Goldilocks or Unicorn Bag but very close

My husband keeps accusing me of looking for a unicorn and he's right. I tried 8 bags before deciding on this one to take to Europe. (Thanks Revane!) I wanted a bag that: 1. I could carry a crossbody bag (I'm 5ft 3inches) that goes down to my lower leg. Check. 2. There was a large zippered pocket on the back (next to my body) that I could put my wallet in. Check. 3. There was another outside zip pocket for my iPhone Xr with a case. Check. 4. There was a large opening in the middle where I could put a stainless steel water bottle, travel guides, maps and a sunglass case. Check. (I plan on leaving it open, so I won't be taking anything of value hereβ€”just stuff I reach for often.) 5. When empty, it folds up so I can fit it in my 12-gallon backpack can be stuck – the only pieces of luggage. I will take it with me on a 3 week trip. Investigation. 6. Was easy. Investigation. 7. Not like a holdall. Investigation. 8. I could carry it as a handbag at home. Investigation. And now you know why the unicorn is compatible. But the Defea bag ticked all the boxes, plus it comes with useful extra features: Velcro-closed side pockets are ideal for wipes or hand sanitizer, and a second external zippered pocket on the front would be nice to accommodate several euro coins. I wear it for a few days to get used to its functionality and I found it even more useful than I expected. Yes, you have to remember where you put things because there are so many pockets and I've been playing around with that. I was concerned about pickpockets due to the detachable shoulder strap, but I just decided not to worry and be aware of my surroundings while sightseeing. Although I bought this for a crossbody, it turns out I can wear it crossbody, which I can never do due to the sloping shoulders. And while I didn't see myself carrying it by the handles, I did. I'm happy with that. So maybe it's a Goldilocks or a Unicorn bag - for now.
