The holes are offset. Can't get this to work.

I understand this is an expensive item designed for extra storage over the microwave but. All but one of the plastic mounts have the holes completely offset. If you take out a piece of the shelf to fit in one hole, the other side will not fit in the other hole. This is despite constant work of bending the other side of the shelf or otherwise driving it into a hole. Try to return.
