My old humidifier has poured water from the tank onto the floor 3 times this year. With a 105-year-old oak floor, that's a problem for me. I'm not sure why all humidifiers use such a poor inverted tank design, but it was hard to find one with a solid tank. This unit cannot be reset. It's hard to spend all that money on a moisturizer, but I'm happy with the product. Also, since it's a cold vapor and not an ultrasonic mist, the mist doesn't hit the floor, allowing me to place the unit on the floor rather than placing it on a piece of furniture that would itself be damaged by the unvaporized mist could . Fan speed 3 is quite noisy, but fan speed 2 is quiet and evaporates about 2 gallons per day.
