I bought a D-Link DOCSIS 3.0 (DCM-301) cable modem compatible with Comcast Xfinity, Time Warner Cable, Charter, Cox, Cablevision and others to get it to be used with OPTIMUM. I wasn't sure if this would work with Optimum Wifi Internet in the New York/New Jersey area. I am VERY SATISFIED with my purchase now because it works with OPTIMUM. The speed is amazing! I used to rent a MODEM ($10/month) from Optimum, now I save $10/month on my internet bill. I also use a router, NETGEAR N 900 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router ($77.95) with this MODEM ($35.15) and it works great. I have more security and no more modem rental fees! The Optimum engineer was amazed to find that this worked perfectly.
