Label printing made easy

The Brother P-Touch 1180 is a very good label printer for at home or in the office. It works silently and the batteries last a long time. The printer can accommodate six, nine or twelve millimeter wide labels, so it can be used for a wide range of applications. Five sizes and several different styles can be programmed on this label printer. Italic, bold, outline, shadow and various combinations of these can be used to create different effects. There aren't as many styles and sizes as the more expensive label printers, but there are enough options to accommodate most needs. And the LCD display makes it easy to see what you're about to print. I have few complaints about this label printer, but one that deserves attention is the printer's tendency to waste labels. When you print a label, the printer always ejects blank sections of ribbon on either side of the text area. Apparently this is to ensure you have enough free space to cut. However, this can be very wasteful because in most cases you don't need this blank label. I'm trying to enter multiple names in a row, separated by a space, and then print them all out at once. This minimizes the number of blank labels coming out of the printer. There's a limit of 55 characters per run, so you can't enter as many names as you'd like. You're still somewhat limited, but it's still more efficient than typing in one name at a time and hitting print after each one. This printer isn't the best, but for the price, it's hard to make a convincing case. versus the Brother P-Touch 1180 label printer. It's small, quiet, and gets the job done with minimal hassle and cost when you're saving a label by typing in multiple names at once.
